Half Moon Bay, Oct 2002

It's been getting colder in California these few days. Gotta get more warm clothing.

It's a nice Sat, and after 1 week of hard work in studies and work, my roomies and I + Heng Wai, Edmund, Chin Wee and Rahul decided to go take a look at the great Pumpkin Festival at Half Moon Bay which is by the way the pumpkin capital of the world.

Halloween is a big festival here and there is already much excitement here. I had a lot of fun going to the pumpkin festival then exploring Half Moon Bay. We had dinner at Castro (Mountain View) and I'm going off to San Francisco soon after doing up this page. (20:58 Pacific time). Going to some place to drink with my colleagues.

See the number of people there! We actually had to travel up a very curvy mountain trail before we got there.

This is supposedly their 'haunted house'. See the number of people queuing up...

We wanted to at first, til we saw this boy trying to act like a ghost..decided it's not worth it

Can you tell that this face is crafted on a pumpkin? There's this guy doing it live and it's really cool. The banner said 'Farmer Mike, world class pumpkin crafter'

Me and Dax. He drank again and his face was as red as a pumpkin. Hidden is Cozy eating his pumpkin pie

I bought this head gear and wore it around the parade.

That's this year's giant pumpkin winner. Think can sit like 5 people.

Of course there's always music and dance.

There were monsters dancing around and scaring little kids. Very funny.

Pie eating competition!!!!!

Me with scarecrow. This one actually dropped onto Dax when he was standing under it. Think it's haunted...

From top(CW) Colin, Eu Jin, Dax, Me and Cozy with pumpkins of course

After that we decided to drop by a pumpkin farm. This one is called Arata's farm

And have you ever seen so many pumpkins????

Sheep Sheep!

Pigs Pigs!

Then we headed down to Half Moon Bay. Check out the fog and the sunlight seeping through.

Check out the waves of the Pacific Ocean!!! HUGE!

Beautiful scenery....You could actually do horseback riding here...

Over here, I would like to add a special column. Inspired by my mexican lunch today.

5 reasons why Mexicans are like Malays

1. They look like Malays

2. They speak like Malays

3. They have large families like Malays

4. Their TV channels bear an uncanny resemblence to TV3

5. Spanish sounds like Malay!
